These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Lario Water Taxi website and our boat tour services on Lake Como. By booking a tour or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

Lario Water Taxi provides luxury private boat tours on Lake Como, Italy. Our services include guided lake tours, transfers, sunset cruises, and custom itineraries aboard our Venetian Panoramic Limousine, accommodating up to 14 passengers.

2. Booking Process

• Bookings can be made through our website, by email, or by phone/WhatsApp
• A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of payment and a confirmation email from us
• You must provide accurate contact details and passenger information at the time of booking
• The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for all members of the group

3. Pricing and Payment

• All prices are quoted per boat, not per person, unless otherwise stated
• Prices may vary by season, time of day, and selected tour package
• Additional extras (food & beverage packages, extended itineraries) are priced separately and clearly indicated at the time of booking
• Payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation
• We accept payments via Stripe (credit/debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal
• All prices include VAT where applicable

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

The following cancellation policy applies to all bookings:

• More than 48 hours before departure: Full refund or free rescheduling
• Between 24 and 48 hours before departure: 50% refund or rescheduling subject to availability
• Less than 24 hours before departure: No refund. Rescheduling may be offered at our discretion
• No-show: No refund

5. Weather Policy

Your safety is our top priority. In case of adverse weather conditions (storms, high waves, poor visibility) that make navigation unsafe:

• We will contact you as early as possible to inform you of the situation
• You will be offered a free rescheduling to an alternative date
• If rescheduling is not possible, you will receive a full refund
• The decision on whether conditions are safe for navigation rests solely with the captain

6. Safety Rules and Passenger Conduct

All passengers must adhere to the following rules for a safe and enjoyable experience:

• Follow the instructions of the captain and crew at all times
• Life jackets are available on board and must be worn when requested by the crew
• The maximum passenger capacity must not be exceeded under any circumstances
• Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times
• Running, standing on seats, or leaning over railings is prohibited
• Passengers must not interfere with the navigation or operation of the vessel

7. Alcohol Policy

Moderate consumption of alcohol is permitted on board. However:

• The captain reserves the right to refuse boarding or terminate the tour early if any passenger is deemed excessively intoxicated
• Disruptive or dangerous behavior caused by alcohol consumption may result in immediate termination of the tour without refund
• Passengers are responsible for their own alcohol consumption and resulting behavior

8. Liability and Insurance

• Lario Water Taxi carries comprehensive maritime insurance as required by Italian law
• Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law
• We are not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings brought on board
• Passengers board at their own risk with respect to personal property
• We are not liable for delays or changes caused by factors beyond our control (weather, mechanical issues, port authority decisions)

9. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, severe weather, strikes, government actions, pandemics, war, civil unrest, or equipment failure not attributable to negligence. In such cases, we will offer rescheduling or a full refund.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Lario Water Taxi website, including but not limited to text, images, logos, graphics, videos, and software, is the property of Lario Water Taxi and is protected by Italian and international copyright laws. Reproduction, distribution, or use without prior written authorization is prohibited.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation including the GDPR.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Italian Republic. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Lecco, Italy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. The Terms applicable to your booking are those in effect at the time of booking.
